Dr Sajjad has been performing in teaching inorganic chemistry courses to BS(hons)/M.Sc, M.Phil/MS and PhD at the basic and advanced level since 2013. He earned his doctoral degree in inorganic chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan; Pakistan in 2013 on the title “Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Properties of Vanadyl(IV) Complexes with Triazole Derived Compounds. During research, he worked extensively on synthesis, characterization and biological investigation of metal based compounds and state-of-the-art characterization techniques like IR, NMR, XRD, Mass, UV-Visible, Magnetic Susceptibility, and Conductance. He had six months research experience at the Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester, UK in 2008-09. Because of his advanced trainings on these above mentioned instruments, he deals in these instruments confidently to support inorganic research work. On personal level of research, he had produced a number of research publications and book chapters in the international peer review journals and publishers. Additionally, he is supervising PhD and M.Phil students in the field of inorganic chemistry. For future, he is scheming on advanced applied research to serve the community on the basis of his own research capacity and through established collaboration with national and international research groups and research scientists. He is coauthor of more than 100 publications in international impact factor bearing journals, which received more than 2020 citations, with H-index of 27 and impact factor is more than 300.

  • • Research work in the field of coordination chemistry and medicinal chemistry has attained much attention in previous years. Particular goal of this research is to devise, build up and analysis for the mutual discovery and managing of pharmacological investigation in targeted field of pharmaceutical awareness. Bioinorganic chemistry is an area of research work which has benefited the many industries especially pharmaceuticals. This field of specialization has provided extensive applications for the evolution of pharmaceuticals, biomedicine, clinical science and catalysis. • The hottest issue in today’s world is the frightening growing rate of bacterial and fungal species which cause serious health problems and are mostly resistant to present drugs. So there is really a need of newly synthesized effective antimicrobial drugs which seize important characteristics like minimal side effects, highly pure in nature, enormous way of action, excellent binding capacity and vast range of activities. Bacterial/fungal/diabetes/cancer resistance is rising as a universal concern for which novel remedies/medications are to be synthesized and fix the medicinal resistance problem more violently. • Recently, there is a demand for novel targets to contest with severe bactericidal and fungicidal infections due to resistance to antibacterial as well as antifungal agents. Owing to entrenched medicinal significance of N/O/S based compounds and biological importance of transition metals, it is highly important to join the interaction of both moiety to synthesize biologically new metals based potent compounds which probably work as potential applicants to effort effectively against resistant bactericidal/fungal strains as well as diabetic and cancerous diseases and address the issue of resistance successfully.
