Admission Requirement

  • At least 45% marks in terminal degree or equivalent are required to apply.
  • In addition the above Para the candidate must have at least 50% marks in Statistics (200 Marks) Elective subject in BSc or equivalent.

Merit Shall be calculates as:

  • Weightage of obtained marks in Matriculation or equivalent = 30 %
  • Weightage of obtained marks in Intermediate or equivalent= 30 %
  • Weightage of obtained marks in BSc or equivalent = 40%

MPhil Statistics

Admission Criteria

  • At least sixteen (16) years of education with terminal degree in relevant subject shall be required.
  • The candidate shall have at least 45% marks in the annual examination system or 2.5 CGPA in the semester system examination throughout his / her academic career except in Matriculation and Intermediate
  • Candidate shall have to pass the Departmental Subject Based Written Test (DSBWT) and interview.

PhD Statistics

Admission Criteria

  • At least sixteen (18) years of education with terminal degree in relevant domain with thesis shall be required.
  • The candidate shall have at least 60% marks in the annual examination system or 3.0 CGPA in the semester system in the terminal degree with not more than two second divisions in entire academic career.
  • Not less than 50 % marks in any degree and no third division or “D” grade throughout his / her academic career except in Matriculation and Intermediate examinations.
  • GRE / GAT subject (60%) shall be required with submission of application form.
