BS Chemistry
Program Objectives
The BS in Chemistry program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of core chemistry principles across physical, organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry. Program Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria
At least 45% marks are required in the intermediate (Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering) or Science Group with Chemistry or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to stand eligible for admission.
The Merit shall be determined on the basis of Intermediate or equivalent (First Year) and relevant DAE (First Two Years) marks. However: At least 45% marks are required in the intermediate (consolidated) or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma (Third Year) to secure admission; OTHERWISE: the admission shall be cancelled.

BS Chemistry (Fifth Semester Induction)

Program Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria
- Relevant Associate Degree (Semester System) or equivalent with at least 2.00 / 4.00 CGPA.
- Relevant fourteen (14) years of education (Annual System) or equivalent with at least 45% marks and relevant subject of two hundred (200) marks.
The merit shall be determined on the basis of marks / CGPA obtained in the terminal degree (14 years’ education) OR 4th Semester.

MPhil Chemistry
Program Objectives
The MPhil in Chemistry program is designed to provide advanced education and training in various specialized areas of chemistry, preparing students for a career in research, academia, or industry. Through this program, students develop strong scientific communication skills, enabling them to effectively present their research findings both in written and oral formats. The MPhil in Chemistry fosters a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to research, encouraging students to work with peers across various scientific disciplines. Program Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria
- At least Sixteen (16) Years of education or its equivalent qualifications in the relevant subject.
- At least 45% marks in the annual examination system or 2.5 / 04 CGPA or 65% marks in the semester examination system is required in the terminal degree.
- In case CGPA or % obtained by the candidate is not mentioned on the transcript, the academic qualification marks shall be calculated as per UOG conversion policy.
- However, if both CGPA and percentage of marks are mentioned on the transcript the preference shall be given to the CGPA.
Merit shall be calculated on the basis of marks obtained out of 100 as per following Criteria, however; 50% marks are mandatory in DSBWT to qualify it.

PhD Chemistry
Program Objectives

Program Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria
- At least Eighteen (18) years of education or its equivalent qualifications in the relevant subject.
- First division in annual system in MS / MPhil / Equivalent degree or minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) in the semester system OR 70% marks in the semester system examination where CGPA is not mentioned in terminal Degree.
- 06 CHsresearch in MS / MPhil programs.
- In case CGPA OR % obtained by the candidate is not mentioned on transcript, the academic qualification marks shall be calculated as per UOG conversion policy.
- However, if both CGPA and percentage of marks are mentioned on the transcript the preference shall be given to the CGPA
Merit shall be calculated on the basis of marks obtained out of 100 as per following criteria, however; 60% marks are mandatory in DSBWT to qualify it.
