Dr. Muhammad Usman Arshad is currently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Commerce at the University of Gujrat, a position he assumed on June 15, 2026. Prior to this, he served as a lecturer in the same department from April 14, 2015, to June 14, 2026. He also held a lectureship in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Sargodha, Bhakkar Sub-Campus, from September 1, 2011, to April 13, 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), Beijing, China. He also holds an MBA and a BBA (Hons) in banking and finance from Hailey College of Banking and Finance, with a specialization in finance. His primary research interests lie in corporate finance and corporate governance. Since 2012, Dr. Muhammad Usman Arshad has been teaching a range of finance courses, including Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, Business Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management, and Credit Management. He has actively participated in numerous international conferences in Pakistan and has served as a session chair at conferences organized by Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab. Dr. Muhammad Usman Arshad's research has been published in journals of international repute, indexed in Web of Science (WOS), SCOPUS, the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC), the Association of Business Schools (ABS), and recognized with impact factors. His publications are also listed in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s W, X, and Y categories. In recognition of his academic standing, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan officially recognized him as a Ph.D. supervisor in 2022. He also serves as the coordinator of the Society of Accounting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship (SAFE) and acts as the focal person for the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) at the University of Gujrat.
