Dr. Shafaq Naz is an accomplished mathematician and an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Gujrat, Pakistan. With a strong academic background, she has dedicated her career to advancing research in various branches of mathematics and computational sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in 2015 and M.Phil. in 2009 from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Prior to that, she completed her Master’s degree in 2006 from the University of Gujrat. Her early academic journey includes a B.Sc. from Punjab University in 2004, F.Sc. from the Gujranwala Board in 2002, and Matriculation in 2000. Dr. Naz's research interests span both commutative and non-commutative algebra, fuzzy algebra, soft set theory, numerical computing, and artificial neural networks. During her M.Phil. studies, she focused on fuzzy algebra in the framework of left almost semigroups, while her Ph.D. research involved the characterization of soft semihypergroups through their soft ideals. At the University of Gujrat, she has further expanded her research scope to include fuzzy differential equations, numerical computing, and artificial neural networks. Through her contributions to the field, Dr. Naz continues to inspire and mentor students while advancing mathematical sciences through innovative research.

  • Dr. Shafaq Naz's research focuses on various branches of pure and applied mathematics, particularly in algebraic structures and computational methods. Her expertise spans commutative and non-commutative algebra, fuzzy algebra, and soft set theory, with significant contributions to the study of left almost semigroups and soft semihypergroups. Additionally, she explores numerical computing and artificial neural networks, integrating mathematical frameworks with modern computational techniques. Her recent work includes advancements in fuzzy differential equations and their applications in real-world problem-solving. Through her research, she aims to bridge theoretical mathematics with computational intelligence, fostering innovation in mathematical sciences.
