Rubina Manzoor | Ph.D | Relationship between Organizational Trust and Professional Commitment among Teachers The purpose of the study is to explore teachers’ organizational trust at college level. The study is descriptive in nature and survey method was used. The teachers of Govt. degree colleges from province Punjab are the target population of the study while the teachers working in degree colleges in three divisions are the accessible population. Multistage sampling technique was used to select the sample for this study. At first stage three divisions were selected while at the second stage, sample of 50% of the total 352 colleges from accessible population i.e., 176 colleges were taken from the given divisions. The next stage, 5 teachers from 176 colleges were selected for data collection. A questionnaire on five points Likert scale was developed to measure organizational trust level of the teachers that they perceive to have from the principals in three areas i.e., their competence, credibility, and sharing information. The descriptive statistics were used for the analysis of collected data. On the basis of findings, it was concluded that majority of overall college teachers perceived to have had moderate organizational trust from their institutions heads and there was no significant difference in the overall trust level as well as different factors (competence and to share information) among male and female teachers. On the basis of conclusions, it was recommended that Principals have low level of trust in teachers’ competence and credibility, may arrange professional trainings and mutual discussion and reflections between teaching staff for enhancing mutual trust. | 2023 |
Muhammad Mosin Ishaq | Ph.D | Evaluation of Moral Authority of School Leadership: Moral Strengths and Challenges The current study focused on the development and validation of Academic Moral Authority Scale for Secondary School Heads (AcMASSSH) because standardized scale for this is less focused in academia. The AcMAS-SSH was developed under the umbrella of significant factors of moral authority i.e., Trust, Honesty, Patience, and Commitment, determined through focus group discussion. First draft of AcMAS-SSH consisted of 24 items on six points Likert scale was reviewed from nine experts for content validity. Seven items with weak Content Validity Ratio (CVR) were excluded from the first draft.Second draft consisted of 17 items was administered to 454 randomly selected teachers from secondary schools. Collected data were used to evaluate the internal factor structure of scale by employingConfirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Four items with regression weight less than .05 were excluded to ensure the construct validity of AcMAS-SSH. Total twelve items were retained in the final draft. Bestmodel fit of the Final draft of AcMAS-SSH exhibited a valid scale. Finally, Cronbach Alpha reliability results were found (0.90) which ensured the AcMAS-SSH as reliable scale. Both Validity and Reliability results posited that it is a valid and reliable scale to evaluate theAcademic Moral Authority of Secondary School Heads. | 2022 |
