Dr. Muhammad Irfan hails from the Gujrat district of Punjab, Pakistan. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2023) , specializing in Nanobiotechnology, from the University of Gujrat, with research conducted at the University of Barcelona, Spain. He also earned an M.Phil. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Gujrat and an MSc in Biochemistry from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. With international research experience in Italy and Spain, Dr. Irfan has impressive university teaching experience. He is a member of the Board of Studies and the Board of Faculty at the University of Gujrat. Additionally, he serves as the departmental focal person for the Institutional Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), university scholarship programs, and the Purchase Department. Dr. Irfan is actively involved in various departmental committees, including the Admission Committee, University Proctorial Board and the Disciplinary Committee. He is also a member of the American Society for Microbiology, USA.

• Dr. Muhammad Irfan earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology on September 1, 2023, specializing in Green Nanobiotechnology through a multidisciplinary research approach. His research involved synthesis, extensive characterization and the evaluation of in-vitro and in-vivo applications of green NPs.

  Dr. Irfan is an active researcher and has made significant contributions to scientific literature in his field. He has authored two books and published over 20 research articles in reputable international peer-reviewed journals, with 15 of these as the first and/or corresponding author (everage IF per article 4.5) reflecting the impact and quality of his scientific contributions.

  His expertise extends to a broad range of nanomaterial characterization techniques, including UV-Visible spectroscopy, FTIR, DLS, Zeta potential analysis, XRD, EDX, TEM, and SEM. He has received certification from the University of Barcelona, Spain, for his proficiency in these advanced techniques. Additionally, he is skilled in analytical techniques such as GC-MS and LC-MS and is proficient in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, SDS-PAGE, restriction cloning, microbial enzymology and various bioinformatics tools.

  Dr. Irfan also possesses extensive experience in handling animal models (mouse model), cell culturing, and toxicity studies. Beyond his research and technical expertise, he has successfully organized national and international seminars and conferences, fostering collaborative networks and promoting advancements in biochemistry, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.

  Previously, he has worked in the fields of enzyme Biotechnology, Nutritional biochemistry and  cancer genetics
