Raza Waqas Ahmad (PhD) is currently working as Assistant Professor (IPFP) at the Centre for Media & Communication Studies, University of Gujrat, Pakistan. He earned his doctorate in Media and Communication Studies from the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in 2024. He also holds an M.Phil. & M.A. in Mass Communication & Media from the University of Gujrat. He has a rich editorial background, having served as Associate Editor of the HEC-recognized Journal "Journal of Peace, Development and Communication" across two tenures. He has also served as Course Coordinator at the Institute of Media Sciences (Pvt) Ltd, Islamabad. He has published research articles in HEC Pakistan-recognized and international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Media Horizons, Humanities & Social Sciences Reviews, Media and Communication Review, and the Journal of Peace, Development and Communication, among others. His research interests include media framing, conflict communication, social media effects, political communication, visual communication, and media discourse analysis.
