Muhammad Usman Ali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Gujrat, where he has been since 2011. From September 2011 to March 2012 he served as Head of Software Development Cell, University of Gujrat. He received a B.Sc.(Math A,B and Physics) from Punjab University (at Govt. Zamindar Degree College, Gujrat.) in 2001, MCS from International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2001 and an M.S. from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila (at Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering, Islamabad). He received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from the Yeungnam University of South Korea in 2018. From 2005 to 2011 he worked at Elixir Technologies, Islamabad, eventually retired as a Principal Software Engineer. His research interests span Indoor Positioning, Computer Vision for Robot Navigation and NLP (Handwriting and Speech Processing). Much of his work has been on effortless Indoor Positioning System. In the Indoor Positioning, he has worked on Calibration Free WiFi Fingerprinting using IOT Sensors and Path Loss Radio Maps.
