Sana Fatima | BS | Impact of Social Media on Family Relations among Parents and Children. This study examined the impact of social media on family relations, specifically between parents and children. With the increasing integration of social networks into daily life, the study explored how platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter influence family dynamics. The research highlights that while social media facilitates connections with extended family and friends, it also leads to reduced face-to-face interaction within the family unit, contributing to weakened bonds and growing emotional distance. Additionally, excessive use of social media, particularly by youth, has been linked to diminished parental engagement and increased attachment to online relationships, often at the cost of family connections. | 2017 |
