Dr. Ayesha Anwar holds a Ph.D. in Urban-Rural Planning from the School of Architecture and Design, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, and has worked on various architectural projects in professional firms. She is currently an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts (FADFA), University of Gujrat, Pakistan. In this role, she oversees academic and administrative responsibilities while leading multiple institutional initiatives. Dr. Ayesha’s work focuses on sustainable urban development, particularly Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in South Asian cities. She actively contributes to research and professional projects aimed at enhancing urban sustainability, mobility, and livability.
Dr. Ayesha Anwar’s research interests include Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), low-carbon cities, and human-centered design. Her work primarily focuses on sustainable urban development, with a particular emphasis on TOD strategies in South Asian cities. She actively engages in research and professional projects that contribute to urban planning strategies aimed at enhancing sustainability, mobility, and livability in rapidly growing cities.
