Dr. Ghulam Nabi obtained his PhD degree from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 2012. After his PhD he joined University of Gujrat, Pakistan. Later he worked as Research Scientist (Postdoc) in the Institute of Physics, Technical University of Ilmenau, Ilmenau, Germany (2014-2016). Currently, he is working as High Level Foreign Talent at Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics, Suzhou, China. Dr. Nabi has authored more than 160 peer reviewed research articles and book chapters in well reputed international journals. Dr. Nabi has also completed more than 8 National/International projects as PI, Co-PI and with his International Collaborators from Germany, China and Saudi Arabia. His cutting-edge research area includes designing and synthesis of semiconductors, metal semiconductors, CNTs and MXenes based 1D, 2D and 3D novel nanostructures by various techniques. He applies his research in major frontiers including Field Emission Devices, Light Emitting Diodes, Water Splitting, Photocatalysis, Hydrogen Generation/Storage, Supercapacitors and Fuel Cells.
(i) Synthesis of 1D, 2D and 3D nano/micro, hybrid/heterostructures (semiconductors; diluted magnetic semiconductors) materials, Supercapacitors and Photocatalytic Water Degradation and Air Breathing Fuel Cells. (ii) Photoluminescence, Field Emission, luminescence dynamics, stimulated emission (lasing), I-V characteristics, magneto-optical properties for optoelectronics, spintronics and solar cells applications.
