Dr. Bacha holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Fudan University (ranked 3rd in China and 26th Globally in QS 2027) and completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), ranked 10th in China and 190th globally. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Gujrat. Formerly worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, and as a Research Scientist in the School of Eco-Environment, HIT. His research expertise includes advanced oxidation processes for water/wastewater treatment, photo(electro) catalysis for environmental pollutant removal, and microplastic degradation. He authored more than 65 SCI articles (18+ as first/corresponding author) in top-tier journals, with a cumulative impact factor > 454. Additionally, he is serving as Editor for > 16 journals, including J Water Process Engineering (IF = 6.6), Crit Rev Environ Sci Technol (IF = 12.5), Int. J. Electrochem (IF = 4.2), etc., and also as a Lead Guest Editor for Special Issues in several Journals such as Catalysis (IF = 4.5), Water (IF = 3.5), etc. He is an active reviewer for more than 100 SCI Journals and has reviewed over Thousand (> 1225) SCI articles to date. He is a committee member for several International Conferences. He has won many prestigious awards, including the Best Research Award 2021, the Young Scientist Award 2022, and the Excellent and Outstanding Reviewer Awards for 2023 and 2024, respectively. He was honored to be included in the World's Top 5% Scientists 2025.
