Mr. Zahid Bashir is currently on study leave since December 2022, pursuing his PhD Commerce at Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He has been serving as a Lecturer (BPS-18) in the Department of Commerce, University of Gujrat, since April 14, 2015. He holds an M.Com (18 years) with a thesis in Finance from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, Lahore, and a B.Com (Hons) (16 years) with a specialization in Finance. Mr. Bashir has a strong research background, with over 20 publications in HEC-recognized local and international journals, including Y, X, and W categories. He has also presented his research at various national and international conferences. His teaching interests include Business Statistics, Inferential Statistics, Business Mathematics, and Data Analysis, covering primary, secondary, and qualitative research methods. His research focuses on Sustainable Finance and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in financial decision-making.
My research primarily focuses on Sustainable Finance and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in financial decision-making. I am particularly interested in exploring how financial markets, investment strategies, and corporate financial practices can align with sustainability principles to foster long-term economic and environmental stability. Additionally, I aim to investigate the role of AI-driven technologies in enhancing financial forecasting, risk assessment, and decision-making processes. Through my research, I strive to contribute to the evolving discourse on innovative financial solutions that balance profitability with sustainability, while leveraging AI to optimize financial efficiency and inclusivity.
