Dr. Sagheer Muhammad serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Sciences, University of Gujrat, Pakistan. He previously held positions as a Lecturer of Finance at both the University of Gujrat and the University of Sialkot, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. in Management Science (Finance) from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China, under the Chinese Government Scholarship. His core research focuses on tail risk contagion, safe-haven dynamics, and portfolio selection of emerging blockchain-based asset classes and renewable energy investments, with a primary emphasis on analyzing financial markets under extreme conditions. Applying advanced financial econometric techniques using R, Python, MATLAB, and Stata, his work delivers strong analytical insights to support risk management and portfolio decisions. He has been instructing Finance, Econometrics, Risk Management, and Quantitative Analysis courses throughout his higher education tenure since 2014. Dr. Sagheer has presented his research at major international academic forums across the United States, Thailand, and Pakistan, including the POMS Annual Conference in Atlanta and IEEE TEMSCON ASPAC in Bangkok. His research features in top-tier Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Impact Factor, SCOPUS-indexed, and Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan approved Y-category journals, such as Renewable Energy, Journal of Economic Policy Reform, Environmental Development and Sustainability, The Singapore Economic Review, and International Journal of Emerging Markets.
