Umar Hayat is currently serving as lecturer in textile department university of gujrat, A seasoned Creative Head and textile Designer with over a decade of experience in leading design teams for top brands like Faiza Faisal by ITTEHAD, Motifz, and Sapphire. Skilled in print and embroidery design, garment development, and fashion styling, he combines creative vision with strong market insight. Proficient in Adobe Suite, Corel Draw, and textile design software, Umar has also showcased collections at Pakistan Fashion Week London and taught fashion and textile design at leading universities. He is known for his leadership, creativity, and trend-focused designs.
As a textile designer, I specialize in smart textiles, with a particular focus on active smart thermochromatics. My research interests revolve around the integration of these innovative technologies into sustainable fashion and textiles. I aim to explore how smart textiles can enhance functionality while promoting environmental sustainability, ultimately contributing to a more responsible and forward-thinking textile industry.
