Lecturer (BPS-18) Mirza Muhammad Tauqeer Baig
Tauqeer Baig is a seasoned professional in the field of communication design. His journey began with a degree from the National College of Arts (NCA) in 2006, followed by an M.Phil. in Multimedia Arts from the University of Gujrat. To further expand his expertise, he completed a specialized course in Advanced Video Production at Gaylord College of Journalism, University of Oklahoma, USA. Throughout his career, Tauqeer has held various roles, most notably serving as the lead concept artist at Wireframe Interactive Lahore, a distinguished game development studio of its time. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member at the Department of Design, Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Fine Arts (FADFA), University of Gujrat, where he shares his extensive knowledge and experience with aspiring designers. Beyond his professional accomplishments in design, Tauqeer is deeply passionate about art. Proficient in both digital and traditional mediums, his work reflects a unique sense of belonging to realms beyond the present. His love for nature is evident in his artwork, where every brushstroke conveys movement and fluidity, drawing viewers into immersive scenes. Inspired by his early sketches, Tauqeer has embraced the challenge of producing large-scale paintings. Looking ahead, he remains committed to exploring new avenues within the vast realm of art, continually pushing the boundaries of creative expression.
Tauqeer Baig’s research interests lie at the intersection of communication design, multimedia arts, and emerging technologies. His work explores the evolving dynamics of visual storytelling, interactive media, and their impact on audience engagement. With a strong foundation in design principles and digital artistry, he is particularly interested in investigating how advancements in video production, animation, and game design influence contemporary communication strategies.
Tauqeer is also deeply invested in studying the integration of traditional artistic techniques with digital media to create immersive and meaningful visual experiences. His research seeks to bridge the gap between art and technology, examining innovative approaches to design that enhance user interaction and narrative depth. Furthermore, he is interested in exploring sustainable and ethical design practices, ensuring that creativity aligns with social and environmental responsibility.
As a faculty member at the University of Gujrat, Tauqeer aims to contribute to academic discourse through research that not only advances theoretical understanding but also offers practical applications for the fields of multimedia arts and design.
