Self-Assessment of Academic Programs

Assessment is a systematic process of gathering, reviewing and using important quantitative and qualitative data and information from multiple and diverse sources about educational programs for the purpose of improving student learning and evaluation whether academic and learning standards are being met or not. 

At the University of Gujrat (UOG), Self-Assessment process was started in February 2010. Eight (8) Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) were completed and evaluated by Assessment Teams (ATs) and the first phase of the self-assessment process was completed in one year. These efforts of QEC were appreciated by QAA. The self-assessment process was extended in fifteen (15) more departments in 2012 and the assessment reports (8) of four departments have been finalized by the departments to be assessed by ATs. On December, 2016 almost 86% academic programs have been self-assessed. Self-Assessment of 14% academic programs in progress and will be completed before June, 2017.

The first cycle of SAR was completed in 2019 for all the programs as per HEC target policy for large category educational institutions, the University of Gujrat has completed 66% of self assesment programs in the 2nd cycle and the remain 33% shall be completed during 2022-23.
