2025 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing

Paper Review Process

The conference follows a double-blind peer-review process whereby the identities of both reviewer(s) and author(s) are concealed from each other. The organizing committee of the conference is committed to conducting a thorough and unbiased review of all submitted papers regardless of the race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors. The conference chair and technical program committee chair will closely monitor the entire review process to ensure its timely completion in an appropriate manner.

  • Initial Screening: All submitted papers will be screened by technical program committee (TPC) co-chairs for adherence to the formatting guidelines and relevance to the conference themes. The papers that meet the scope and formatting guidelines of the conference will undergo a plagiarism check using plagiarism detection software. The papers with similarity index higher than 20% or published elsewhere will be rejected.
  • Peer-Review: All the papers that pass the initial screening stage will be assigned to reviewers of the relevant field by the TPC co-chairs to undergo a double-blind peer-review. Each paper will be assigned to and reviewed by a minimum of 3 reviewers. During the assignment phase, reviewers will be asked to declare conflicts of interest (if there any) with the assigned papers to ensure unbiased reviews. Papers will be reviewed according to the following criteria which will be communicated to reviewers during the assignment of papers.
    • Originality and Novelty: new and original ideas, methods, findings, or applications and contribute to the state-of-art knowledge.

    • Technical Quality and Accuracy: research methods and techniques used are appropriate and data used is sufficient and accurately analyzed.

    • Clarity and Organization: well written and presented, logically organized, appropriate title and abstract, clear introduction, methodology, results and conclusion.

    • Relevance to conference scope: in line with the theme and scope of conference and of interest to the conference attendees.

    • Literature Review and References: provide adequate background and context by referring relevant literature.

    • Ethical Standards: adhere to ethical standards in research, including proper citation of sources and avoidance of plagiarism.

    • Practical and Theoretical Implications: potential impact of the research on the field, industry, or society and applicability on the real-world scenarios.

After review, the reviewers assigned to the paper will submit a review report (comprising of score and detailed comments) along with their clear recommendation (accept, revision of paper or reject) to the concerned TPC co-chair.

  • Decision: After receiving all the three review reports on the paper, the concerned TPC co-chair will recommend any one of the following decisions:
    • Accepted:  The concerned authors will prepare and submit the final camera-ready version of the paper by the deadline.
    • Revision: The papers that are recommended for revision will be returned to author(s) for revising the paper in accordance with comments of the reviewers. The concerned authors will implement the comments of the reviewers and re-submit the revised version of the paper within 10 days. The revised paper will be checked and evaluated by the respective TPC co-chair against reviewers’ comments. At this stage, respective TPC co-chair will either recommend acceptance of the paper or rejection, i.e., no further revision cycle because of time constraints.
    • Rejected
  • Final Review Meeting: The technical program committee will holds a final review meeting under the chairmanship of conference chair and TPC chair will present data related to review of all the submitted papers. The review reports and decisions recommended by TPC co-chairs on the all the submitted papers will be analyzed and endorsed. Other issues like conflicting reviewer reports (if any) will also be discussed and resolved during the meeting.
  • Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: Final decision on the acceptance / rejection of  the papers along with reviewer comments shall be communicated to authors within the deadline.
  • Submission of Final Paper (Camera-Ready): Authors incorporate the changes given/suggested by reviewers and submit the final camera ready version of papers by 15 January 2025.
  • Final Check: Final check on the final camera-ready papers will be performed by the relevant TPC co-chair(s) and also by the publication committee. The relevant TPC co-chair(s) will ensure that all the suggested changes have been incorporated by authors in the revised final version and that the papers meet the publication standards whereas the publication committee will perform final plagiarism check on all accepted papers and confirm that similarity index of each final paper is less than 20%.
