GUJRAT – The University of Gujrat (UOG) marked Yaum-e-Tashakur with a grand ceremony at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Friday, celebrating the recent victory of the Pakistani armed forces over their Indian counterparts.
The day commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq, followed by the national anthem, instilling a sense of patriotism among the participants. A march-past by security guards—many of whom are retired personnel of the Pakistani armed forces—added to the solemnity of the occasion.
In his message on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of planning, hard work, and execution as key to success, drawing parallels between these principles and the strategic excellence demonstrated by Pakistan’s armed forces.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, and campus residents, who came together to honour the nation’s defenders and express gratitude for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
