Climate Action Plan
Since Pakistan is a developing its general public lacks basic information and Education about Environment Protection its impact on the Climate and adverse effects of Climate Change on our daily lives and economy. Understanding the importance of the topic University of Gujrat started the Department of Environmental Sciences. Purpose of establishing this department was to not only create awareness in this field but also generate valuable human resource capable of serving in this field with up to date practical knowledge. This department started BS Environmental Sciences – Four Year Degree Programs in 2009, M. Phil in 2013 and finally P. hD in 2016. Currently Department is operating with 07 P. hD and 05 M. Phil Faculty Members.

Steps For environmental Protection
UOG also has taken following steps to ensure environmental protection.
1. Waste and Garbage are disposed properly, recycle able items are separated and organic waste is used to make fertilizer (certificate from the waste disposal company is attached).
2. Total area of UOG is 145986 square feet while tree count in our jurisdiction is 1850, dedicated space is available for ornamental plants, seasonal flowers and lawns (Pics Attached)
