Overview

Founded in 2004, University of Gujrat (UOG) is one of the fastest growing institutions of higher learning in public sector of Pakistan. The university provides a fantastic student experience. It offers degree programs in various different disciplines. The University has also established a Law college, Institute of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and a Medical College on its premises.

The University now has a well-developed organizational structure and number of sub-campuses in Lahore, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Narowal; equipped with state of the art facilities, competent faculty members including over 100 PhDs, and highly trained administrative staff. The university started its teaching programs in 2006 and within the short span of 9 years it has currently over 15000 students in Hafiz Hayat Campus (Main Campus) and over 5000 in constituent colleges (City Campuses).

UOG mission is to equip the youth in the areas of economy, social policy and research, so as to enable them to compete at the international level; achieve excellence in research and teaching in all disciplines; and develop a world class center of excellence to help the industry and society at large through research-based initiatives.

Strategically located within the industrial triangle of Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot, UOG's mandate is to bridge HR and technological gap. UOG has a strong curriculum, in all fields of study it is offering, which is delivered by highly qualified faculty.

The university promises excellence in higher education through a combination of internationally qualified faculty and state of the art class rooms and laboratories. The University particular focus is on: Innovation: to foster a culture of inquiry and innovation; and to make evidence-informed decisions; and to introduce modern, innovative programs. i.e. a Modern Languages Learning Center and a Product Design Center at School of Art and Design; Partnership: to work in collaboration with national, regional and international institutions to integrate Pakistan with the global continuum of higher education; and Technology: to make better use of social media including the web, databases, and other technology to broaden our outreach.
