The prize distribution ceremony of the Sports Gala 2025 held at the University of Gujrat was held at Hafiz Hayat Campus. The special guest of the ceremony was Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. Prizes were given to the winning teams and students who performed best at the individual level. Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq announced a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 to the students who won three or more medals individually. The annual Sports Gala is an important part of the ongoing academic and co-curricular activities at the University of Gujrat. By participating in the Sports Gala, the awareness of discipline, adherence to rules and regulations, and maintaining a balance between physical and mental health is fully revealed among the students. Upon the arrival of Professor Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, the student athletes of various departments and sub-campus Mandi Bahauddin enthusiastically and beautifully presented a march past wearing different colors and carrying flags. Students studying in the university from different provinces represented the culture and civilization of their provinces and presented regional and traditional dances in a beautiful manner. It may be recalled that the qualifying rounds of various sports for the Sports Gala at Gujarat University had started from October 1. In the Sports Gala, teams of male and female students participated enthusiastically and won praise by showing their performance in general sports cricket, badminton, table tennis and tug-of-war, as well as in the athletics category in jump, long jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, relay race and 400, 200, 100, 800 and 1500 meter races.
