Career Counseling Seminar at University of Gujrat

“Know yourself and your worth.” This adage of Hazrat Ali is all about what career counseling is. It is directed towards intra-knowledge of self and its true subjectivity. It is a peep into the potential capabilities of a person. Each individual is a unique creation and holds immense potential of creativity and innovation. He can play an important role in some sphere of life. Career Counseling basically is a good matchmaking between objective reality of professions and subjectivity of talents and aptitudes. Different heads of the departments and academics have presented the pros and cons of their departments and faculties. I am pretty sure that this immensely useful information will brighten up your intuitive faculties and help you in matching yourself to an appropriate and more suitable profession. Nations are built in the academia. Our national youth constituting 65% of our population is our real asset. Unfortunately widespread poverty does not allow more than two percent of our population to reach the prestigious corridors of universities. It is a horrible situation, to say the least. In this scenario the efforts of charitable organizations like ‘Alflah Scholarship Scheme’ is no less than a boon for the nation. It is the need of the day that such charitable organizations mushroom and spare no Pakistani from the august task of getting educated. I am thankful to the students Services Center and the Alflah Scholarship Scheme for their joint collaborative effort in managing this seminar. I am especially thankful to Mian Mohammad Shakoor Chairman Alflah Scholarship Scheme and Vice Chairman S. Zaigham Mugheera for their valuable thoughts and their practical implementation; for their theory and practice.
