Department of Education

University of the Gujrat is a world class university that provides its students with modern knowledge and skills. In pursuance of the objectives of the University, and to encourage and promote education, training and research, this department is striving to produce social scientists, educational experts, executives and teachers who shall contribute to the development of Pakistan. The vision of the university leadership was realized in 2010 and resultantly, Department of Education was established . The department is functioning at the City Campus, Fawara Chowk Gujrat. There are four programs being managed by the department. The detail of the programs is below;

The scheme of studies for all said programs has been designed through well thought efforts of Board of Studies in different sessions.  For the purpose, the HEC given scheme of studies has been followed with necessary amendments.   Further updating in the designed scheme of studies will be sought to make the programs more effective and quality oriented.

The faculty of the department comprises highly qualified and well experienced teachers who are able to implement the given scheme of studies in letter and spirit. The department is well equipped having state of the art computer lab and library. The supporting staff of the department is committed to the work.

It is included in the plan that the department will launch Ph.D in Education in the coming years. The focus of the department is on research and development in the field of education. Further the target has been set to achieve the excellence of the teaching profession to provide quality education to the society.
