Chief Minister's Message
I feel great
pleasure in
welcoming the second batch
of MBBS students in Nawaz
Sharif Medical College (NSMC)
University of Gujrat (UOG). The
college has been established,
with in a short span of six
months time, which is a big
leap forward in the Professional
Institution development in
Pakistan. I highly appreciate the
gigantic ef forts made by Prof
Dr Nizamuddin, Vice Chancellor,
UOG and his team members for
the untiring dedicated work to
accomplish the establishment of
NSMC.
I also congratulate the
political leadership in Gujrat,
who graciously visualized the
needs of the people of this
area and conceived the idea of
establishing a medical college
in the UOG to dispense medical
science education to youth
of this area, in the service of humanity.
I am sure that the top
leadership of Punjab, the
political leadership of the
town, and management of the
University are highly excited at
having achieved this excellence.
The college administration, the
faculty and students are rightly
proud of it. In the provincial
government, we are putting in
our best ef forts and diverting
resources to transform the
college into a state-of-the art
institution of international
repute, equipped with latest
teaching and training equipment
and technology. Nawaz Sharif
Medical College is also privileged
to have renowned and eminent
faculty members. This is just
the beginning of this College.
With the passage of time, the
provincial government will
continue to extend its support
to make this college one of the
most prestigious and exalted
institutions of the country.
I am delighted to see that the
students are well-disciplined
conscientious and willing
learners. Working environment
of the college and its ambience
is excellent. I would expect even
better harmony, coordination,
working relationship and rapport
in future among the University administration, teaching
faculty and the students. I appreciate the ef forts put in, by
setting forth high professional
standards in establishing
various departments.
Last but not the least, my advice
to students is to leave no stone
unturned to bring success to
themselves and this new, upand-
coming institution. I would
also like to impress upon the
faculty to accept the challenges
and make this institution a place
of higher learning, advanced
research and excellence. In view
of the ambience prevailing in
the college under the talented
and pragmatic leadership of
Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin, I am sure
there will be no limit to the
growth of knowledge, research
and creativity you are likely to
achieve.
Main Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
Chief Minister, Punjab
