Admission Procedure
Under its charter, the
University of Gujrat is open to all academically qualified candidates of
either gender; and admission will not be denied on the grounds of
gender, religion, creed, race, class, colour or domicile. Students from
anywhere in Pakistan and overseas may apply. Admission to the
University’s academic programme is based on merit and potential for
leadership. There are no unqualified admissions against donations.
Selection procedures are prescribed by the admission committee.
Selection of students is made with great care and concern, and decisions
are irrevocable and non-negotiable. The University is not bound to
explain the reasons for its decisions to applicants, their parents,
guardians or sponsors.
Admission shall be made according to the schedule advertised in leading
newspapers. Candidates securing at least 45% marks in aggregate in
Intermediate or equivalent are eligible to apply for admission in BS (Hons)
4-year semester programme, LLB 5-year semester programme and BCom 2-year
annual programme. Candidate securing 45% marks in aggregate in BA/BSc or
equivalent are eligible to apply for MA/MSc 2-year semester programme.
No admission form shall be accepted after the due date and the list of
selected candidates shall be displayed on merit on the given date. The
selectees shall be required to pay admission dues by the dates notified;
otherwise, their seats shall stand cancelled. Students will only be
allowed to change the major discipline if they fall in the second or
subsequent merit lists.
Reserved Seats
Limited seats are reserved for:

Disabled persons:
Students should attach a disability certificate issued by the District
Health Officer. Note: Hard of Hearing will not be considered as
a disability.

Sports persons: For
outstanding sports persons, merit certificate of Inter Board
Competition will be considered. Trial will be held at UOG.

Co-Curricular
Activities: Students having distinction in co-curricular
activities. Trial will be held at UOG.

Children/spouse/real brother or sister (in order of priority) of UOG
teaching and administrative staff, excluding staff on deputation.

Foreign students:
Recommended by the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan.

Children of war disabled/martyrs of armed forces.
-
Students of Azad .Jammu
and Kashmir and Gligit-Baltistan nominated by the respective Board and
recommended by the Federal Government.
